MFB: Why Blog & Blogging

Why Blog & Blogging?

A blog is a website made up of short, frequently updated posts written by the website owner. The person is known as blogger.

“Blogging” is the act of writing and publishing blog posts. These actions had a huge impact on the way information is presented, published and consumed on the internet. Unlike many online developments that turn out to be just fads, blogs are most definitely here to stay.

Bloggers and their readers love to read blogs, for a number of reasons.

One of the key reasons is that there are a lot of very good blog writers out there; all sharing their opinions, knowledge and advice on topics people are interested in reading about.

It is the human aspect of blogs that draws many people to them. Bloggers tend to write in a very personal and informal style, which is in contrast to the many more corporate and faceless websites out there.

Another very popular feature of blogging is its conversational aspect. Many blogs allow visitors to leave comments on what they had read and other readers can then reply to these comments and continue the discussion. Popular blogs often create a sense of community because the same people return again and again to post comments and connect with other people interested in the same topics.

Blogs also offer people with new fresh opinions, a change from the main stream media and online news websites. Since blog posts are usually brief, regularly updated and easy to read, many people now read their favourite blogs everyday as much as they could just like an online newspaper or magazine.

The services or providers like blogger, typepad, wordpress and Yahoo 360 make blogging easy to use, quick and inexpensive or even free, which resulted in blogging now plays a major role in today’s online communication today.

That is why if you have an online or offline business or even no business at all. Blogs are one online development that you simply cannot ignore.

Openness is a two-edged sword..

What about Politics Blogs Discussion ?

grab_iowavotes.jpgThis year the politics blogs discussion will go into overdrive. In the previous USA presidential elections political blogs did very well, both in terms of traffic and revenue. We are expecting this time round for it to be even more of a phenomenon.

If you are not a political blogger though, should you mention political opinions? What about if you have both political and non-political blogs, could this cause problems? Can your religious beliefs get you into trouble?

Politics Cause Friction?

Politics is an obvious cause for friction, if you didn’t know better you would think friction was the whole point. People make all sorts of assumptions about a person once they discover they lean left or right politically.

Religion is politicized more than ever now. If you believe the media you would think that religion is politics.

But, you might think, aren’t we supposed to let our readers in on a bit of our personality? Didn’t you say we should paint a picture of ourselves being three dimensional human beings? There is the problem, many people see their politics, and certainly their beliefs, as being core to who they are. Should you hide this part of yourself?

How Much to Share?

I think it comes down to how you work, what your goals are, how open you want to be, and how forceful you are in your opinions. If you are a freelancer or a consultant, I would caution against risking losing work through expressing your opinions off topic from your business blog.

Have A Second Blog

By all means have a separate blog where those opinions are discussed, but know the risks if your leads follow you around and find something they vehemently disagree with.Openness is a two-edged sword. Sometimes you can share too much and put off the very readers you were wanting to get closer to. Again, this might be a good thing or a bad thing. If someone is so intolerant that they boycott you because of a privately held belief then you might not want them as readers, but on the other hand if you are beating people over the head with it I can fully understand why someone might be put off.

In most cases merely mentioning something will not do too much harm but getting into a heated argument almost always causes lasting issues. Polarizing an audience can be a route to success, but it forever labels you, and the internet has a long memory. You might find in a job or media interview it comes back to haunt you.

Goals & Objective For This Blog

So what am I going to do with mybloggingbusiness.com this time. I am serious and that is why I am writing this, announcing it to the whole world about my goal for this blog.

This blog primary objective to my readers is to value add their blogging life. What do I mean by adding value to their blogging life? Not going to make it complicated again; adding value means this blog will share useful information that all bloggers need or want  and any tools that can be beneficial to them in marketing and monetizing their blog.

My personal objective is going to be as simple and short too! I am going to promote this blog to become Technorati TOP 100 blog listing by March 2008. It is not going to be difficult as long as I always have my readers’ needs in mind and continuously creating values and useful information for them.

Of course, my English standard has not improved much yet, much of my posting always filled with lots of grammatical and expression errors and often I felt very irritated about it. I will try my best to improve on that. Please pardon me!

Back to my topic, so how am I going to achieve this. This is an important challenge for me as I am the creator of MoneyFromBlog Coaching Club (MFB) and therefore I have decided to start this blog right from stretch, right from the few days before my launch so that I can proved to all viewers that my system works. I will only be using strategies and tactics taught in my coaching club. I am very confidence in my training and I hope you are too!

If you are an existing blogger, or a very successful blogger, feel free to bookmark my blog and join this community and I got a lot to learn from you too.

If you are looking into internet business,  i urge you to serious consider blogging business, why? Speaking from 3 years of internet marketing life, thats all I can say. This is something you won’t want to miss again.

I will be posting all of my marketing and monetizing actions over this blog too!

So guys please do support me and your stay and frequent commenting will brigthen my day and most importantly motivate me to work hard towards my goals. Thanks for reading.
